It is annoying to try figuring out the puzzle mechanics when puzzles are spaced so far apart and the controls make experimenting difficult. It would be nice if entering and exiting a puzzle was easier (e.g. mouse-only controls), and if the first 4 or 5 puzzles per section were all in a row.
Make it so you only show the fail (red flashing and reset) when you left click or submit the answer? Sometimes the mouse moves accidentally and it gets a bit frustrating.
The plus signs with the squares in them completely stumped me, it doesn't help that I started that area out of order by missing the path. The game seems to encourage upward travel, but it was not the case there. So teach the mechanic better and perhaps direct people a little better?
(Later)Well, I just figured it out, but it still took me very long.
(Later)And now I finished the game, but I'm still not sure I understand lol.
Overall I think that it could use a little better teaching of the mechanics, and secondly an improved overworld. The overworld needs a better reason to exist, it sometimes felt like walking just for the sake of walking. The Witness fixed this in 2 ways:
Its perspective puzzles and some of its puzzles incorporating with the environment.
The beautiful art and the very interesting and unique locations made it fun to explore
I do see that you tried to do some similar things, but I think to make the game better there needs to be more.
It wasn't the perfect 'hard but not too hard' level of difficulty, but I still enjoyed it. Good job.
Great work! I really like the Witness approach of letting the player figure out the rules from examples instead of telling them explicitly how it works.
That said, the third area didn’t work very well for me. I needed a hint from Discord to figure out how the plus signs worked, even though I had already solved about 10 puzzles. It didn’t help that a lot of the examples either already had a unique solution when ignoring the pluses, or admitted several solutions that seemed very different. The mechanic itself is really cool though, so if you rework the puzzles that try to teach it, this has a lot of potential.
I’ve also got some feedback on the second area, but spoilers, so I’ll message you on Discord. :)

Excellent job, wonderful music, wonderful art. The puzzles where a bit though though, keep it up
I could only find one elephant, but it was a good Witness-style game. Keep developing it.
